The bridge, commissioned for a private residence, elegantly connects the main house to the garage, spanning a gully without disturbing the local flora.

The bridge’s design is a marvel of engineering, cantilevering 50 feet from a central column like a diving board, without anchoring to the deck. The challenges of installation, particularly in the winding Berkeley hills, were met with ingenuity. The bridge was constructed in three lightweight pieces, each transported through the house by hand and then assembled on-site.
