New Acıbadem Hospital Column Plug and Molds Manufactured at METYX Manisa

The preferred design for the new colums in the lobbies of the A and A2 entrances of Acıbadem Ataşehir were C4C brand composite columns.  The speciality columns were produced by METYX and provided with project design and contracting services by Dragos and met all the necessary technical and aesthetic needs for this challenging project.

The preferred design for the new colums in the lobbies of the A and A2 entrances of Acıbadem Ataşehir were C4C brand composite columns.  The speciality columns were produced by METYX and provided with project design and contracting services by Dragos and met all the necessary technical and aesthetic needs for this challenging project.

In the project, a total of 12 column coverings, 6 in elliptical form with a length of 7.45 meters and 6 pieces of 7.85 meters in length, were produced and applied. C4C composite columns covered around the reinforced concrete columns were used for decorative purposes in the project.  Eight columns were produced from 2 pieces and four columns were produced from 4 pieces and installed.

Plug and mold of the columns were manufactured at the METYX Manisa plant using a giant CNC machine. Consequently, eglass fiber and Crestapol, Scott Bader’s resin that METYX distributes in Turkey, was used to finalize the product.

Twelve columns, mounted very precisely in a short time in a challenging construction site environment, were installed on time and delivered to Acıbadem Hospital.
