METYX Setting Up New Technical Textiles Division in the USA

 

METYX Group has completed an agreement with the Gaston County Economic Development Commission in North Carolina to acquire a manufacturing facility for its new METYX USA Technical Textiles Division.   An acquisition of 30 acre (120 000 sq. m) site and existing buildings has been finalised, which includes 130,000 sq. ft (~ 12,000 sq. m) of covered space.

METYX Secures 50% HIPA Support for Investment Project to Expand its Hungarian Production Facilities

  

METYX Group has concluded discussions with the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) and secured a 50% matched Government funded incentive package to support an investment project to expand METYX Hungary Kft. HIPA works closely with the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to attract inward investment from overseas companies into Hungary to create new jobs and build its economy.

METYX Group Announces Major Expansion Plans of its Technical Fabrics Production for the Global Composites Industry

 

METYX Group has just concluded a major ‘multi-machinery’ deal with long-time partner KARL MAYER Technische Textilien GmbH for the supply of new warp knitting production lines to provide 12,000 metric tonnes of additional glass and carbon fibre multiaxial fabric knitting capacity.  The new capacity will increase production both in Turkey, further expanding its main factory at Manisa, as well as for additional overseas manufacturing facilities as part of a multinational strategic growth plan.

Growing METYX Composites Moves to New Headquarters

 METYX Composites has recently relocated its headquarters team to new offices in Kozyatağı, which is in the heart of Istanbul. Since 2003, when METYX Composites started, the headquarters has been located with the parent company Telateks A.S. at the Group headquarters and factories in the Tuzla industrial area, over 35 minutes by car south of Istanbul. Telateks A.S. was originally founded in Tuzla in 1978 by Erol Ustunel.   Read More

METYX Composites has extended its global distributor network, appointing GRP Solutions Ltd. as its exclusive distributor for Great Britain (GB). This new distributor agreement is to improve the access, supply chain service and local technical support for composites moulders in England, Wales and Scotland for its high performance technical fabrics.

Manisa Expansion

 

METYX Composites Doubles Production Site in Turkey

METYX Composites, a division of textiles company Telateks A.S., is in the process of doubling its production facilities at its main manufacturing centre in Manisa, Turkey.  Land and buildings adjacent to the existing factory in the Manisa Industrial Zone became available earlier this year, which Telateks recently acquired. The existing factory is being linked to the newly acquired site, which combined provides a total of 2.3 hectares (23,000 sq. m) of production and warehousing space. The expanded site is almost twice the size of the current factory, providing METYX with the space to not only double weaving capacity for glass and carbon fibre multiaxial fabrics, but to also add more tooling and kitting capacity.
